HESCO Concertainer units are used extensively for the protection of personnel, vehicles, equipment and facilities and are today established as a key component in military hardware and a benchmark in force protection throughout the world.Protection is afforded by the fill material of the structure as a consequence of its mass and physical properties, allied with the proven dynamic properties of Concertainer units. Correctly configured, Concertainer units can resist attack from VBIED and have been tested against charges up to 20,000lbs.The Concertainer unit is a multi-cellular wall system manufactured from welded zinc-aluminium coated steel wire mesh and joined with vertical, helical coil joints. The units are lined with a heavy-duty non-woven polypropylene geotextile.Delivered flat-packed on pallets or stacked vertically inside a RAID container, units can be easily extended and joined using the provided joining pins and filled with available material using minimal manpower and commonly available equipment.
The 2012 range of Mil units from HESCO has been developed in direct response to two important factors: the military’s increased commitment to environmental responsibility, and the rising costs of recovery of material after the cessation of the mission. | |
